Gas analysis normally involves using a vacuum pump to pull a sample of gas over or through a sensor to determine a particular characteristic. Typical applications include analysis of vehicle exhaust emissions, and air quality testing. An dry vacuum pump is required for this application to prevent contamination of the gas being sampled.
